“RusHydro” will consider the possibility of creating enterprises for the processing of fly ash waste from TPPs in the Far East

“RusHydro” and “Osnova Holding” will be involved in several projects for the production of building materials from fly ash waste from coal-fired, thermal power plants. The companies mentioned above signed a cooperation agreement aimed at implementing projects for the processing and disposal of fly ash waste currently generated at coal-fired TPPs in the Far East.

“The purpose of cooperation is to reduce the environmental impact of the ash on the environment, reduce environmental payments and the costs of maintaining ash dumps at TPPs. The parties will consider the possibility of creating enterprises for the production of building materials from the coal waste generated at TPPs of the Rushydro group on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District,” — “RusHydro” representative said.

Under these agreements, “Osnova Holding” is ready to assist the “RusHydro” in technological matters, to develop the industrial production of building materials using fly ash materials from “RusHydro” energy facilities. The energy company, in turn, is ready to guarantee the priority supply of volumes required for production of coal ash materials.
