The State Duma Committee on Energywas held on the 18th of February, 2019 discussing the topic on “Legislative regulation of the use of fly ash waste from coal-fired thermal power plants”
The round table attended:

- Roor Artur Valterovich (Deputy Director of South Kubaz Energy Company LLC).
In his speech, Kozhukhovsky I.S. spoke about the work being done by the National Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of fly ash materials to take measures to improve the environmental situation in the places of operation of coal-fired power plants. He particularly noted in his speech that improving the environmental situation by reducing the amount of harmful emissions and waste from coal combustion must be addressed by an integrated approach: improving consumer properties of ash and reducing the amount of harmful substances in emissions.
Currently, this is possible without expensive modernization and by only using innovative additives that allow both to reduce the amount of harmful substances in fly ash waste, and to reduce, or completely eliminate, the burning of coal in fly ash waste. It is necessary to familiarize and use more widely the experience of National Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of fly ash materials and South Kubaz Energy Company LLC in the implementation of innovative additives to coal.
With the improvement of consumer properties of ash, it is more widely used as a substitute for natural resources in the construction of roads and buildings.
The accumulated fly ash waste is more widely used in the construction and operation of landfills, and terrain planning.
